A day at Kampung Panchor Dayak Hot Spring


Kampong Panchor Hot Spring which is located at Kampong Panchor, 40km from Kuching City is surrounded by forest and nature, offering serene and calm atmosphere.




The hot spring which is located at Kampong Panchor Dayak is accessible via Kuching-Serian Road. The junction to the site is on the right side just after the Tapah Town.




The hot spring which is managed by the local community is open to the public daily from 7.00 am till 10.00pm. A nominal entrance fee of RM3 is charge per person; adult and Children over 12yrs. 

 
From the ticket booth, a plank walk was built from the entrance connecting the various hot water pools.





The temperature of the water is an average of 42 deg. C. You are advised to extra caution when you want to take a dip in the pool. A simple steps process:-

Dip your hand or legs into the pool first to get a feel of the water temperature that it is not too hot for you. This is to prevent you from being scald by the hot water. Everyone have different reaction to the hotness of the water.



Once you are sure that the water temperature is to your liking, slowly dip your body into the water.

If you get dizzy or uneasy while dipping in the pool, get out of the pool and take a rest, drink some cold water to cool your body temperature.

You are not allowed to take a bath immediately after getting out of the hot spring. Take a rest and let your body temperature to cool down to the normal level.



Please be advised that extra precaution should be absorbed by everyone while at the hot spring. There are also do and don’t which you should absorbed at all the time you spend at the premises.

Hot Spring is a spring that is produced by the emergence of geothermal heated ground water from the Earth’s crust.

The heated water contained mineral that are claim to have medical value and could cure various kind of ailments, among them skin diseases.

A number of pools were built, with wooden planks surrounded the pools for visitors to sit while soaking their feet at the pools.  The bottom of the pool is laid with hardwood plank to prevent the stirring of the mud at the bottom of the pool. 



You can also take a dip in the pools. The pools are cover to shield the visitors from the elements; rain or shine you still can enjoy the hot spring. There are also resting hut complete with benches and table being built in the premises for the visitors convenient.




There is also a canteen selling snack, drinks and simple food and next to it are the public toilets and the Changing room.



The hot spring attracts visitors from near and far, seeking cure for their ailments or just to savour the natural hot spring.

Mystery Shoppers Required In Sarawak.


Candidates are required for mystery shopping assignment in Sarawak by AQ Services International. The company which was founded in the Netherlands has offices in Shanghai, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Hong Kong among others. 

The candidates are given mystery shopping assignment for a chosen outlets in various location throughout Sarawak;  Sibu, Sarikei, Bintulu, Kapit, Miri, Kuching, Bau, Mukah, Serian, Limbang and etc. Shoppers will need to pretend as a customer to evaluate on the staff's service level and also the environment cleanliness and facilities functionality without reveal themselves as a mystery shopper. 

Shop fees will be paid upon completion and satisfied the terms and condition of the given assignments. The fees paid range from RM30-RM40 based on the assignments.

Sarawak Rainforest World Music Festival.



Rainforest World Music Festival which is an annual three days event, celebrating the diversity of world music is held at the Sarawak Culture Village in the month of July, 35km north of Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia.

This Sarawak music festival is a unique event where the world renowned musicians from all continents and the indigenous musicians from the interior of Borneo, coming together to exchange musical knowledge and performed together on the same stage.

The Rainforest World Music Festival bring together world renowned musicians from all continents and indigenous musicians from Borneo, conducting music workshop during the day and performing at the main-stage in the evening.

The three days festival is filled with music workshop held at the various traditional houses at Sarawak Cultural Village, cultural displays, crafts displays, food stalls and of course the main-stage evening concerts. 

As the music workshops are conducted at the various traditional houses located at the venue, you can have an up close with the performers and get to know more about the workshop topic. There is close interaction between the performers and the audiences.

Travel Guide to Bintulu, Sarawak.






Bintulu which is the capital town of Bintulu Division is geographically situated half way between Kuching and Limbang, with a multi-racial population. It is Sarawak main industrial town and principal deep-water port, servicing the oil, gas and timber industries.

Travel to and around Bintulu.
You can travel to Bintulu by air, Bintulu Airport which is located 27km from the town is main gateway for Bintulu division, servicing daily flights from Kuala Lumpur by Malaysia Airlines and AirAsia. While MASWings flights links Bintulu with Sibu, Miri, Kota Kinabalu and Kuching. 

There is no public bus service from the airport to Bintulu town and vice-versa. A coupon system taxi is available at the airport. 

There is daily express bus service to and from Bintulu. Bintulu regional express bus terminal is located at Medan Jaya, linking to Sarawak major towns and cities like Kuching, Sibu, Miri, Mukah, Betong, Sri Aman, Sarikei, Batu Niah and Sungai Tujuh are well connected with Bintulu. You can also travel to Brunei (via Sg. Tujuh) and Pontianak, Indonesia from here.

The extensive network of sealed roads linking Bintulu to major cities and towns, enable you can travel from Pontianak, Kalimantan Indonesia to as far as Tawau in Sabah by car.

Travel around Bintulu.
You can travel by bus to other minor parts of the town to as far as Sg. Asap and Tatau/Kuala Tatau, which you can board at the Pasar Tamu Bus Terminal.

You can also travel by express boats other minor towns and rural areas such as Sebauh, Tatau, Kuala Tatau, Tubau and Labang. You can also opt to rent a 'perahu' or speed boat to other minor towns for greater adventure. 

You can walk around the Bintulu old town which is quite a pedestrian-friendly town, with lots of traffic lights served for pedestrians. A visit to other parts of town might be a tiring one, especially to Parkcity Commercial area and Medan Jaya, so opt to travel by bus.
